Our Story

Ours was written in soil.In 1980, our father left everything he knew in India to chase a dream in the South Okanagan. He found it here, in Oliver, B.C., on a small farm where the sun kisses the vines and the mountains stand guard over the valley. Decades later, on that very same land, we opened Vasanti Estate Winery—a tribute to his courage and the life he built from the ground up.For over 20 years, we’ve grown premium grapes in the South Okanagan, supplying some of the region’s most celebrated wineries. Today, we craft our own small-lot wines alongside our longtime family friend and lead winemaker, Jason Parkes—whose artistry, experience, and shared history make him an inseparable part of our story.In late June 2024, we opened our tasting room, sharing just two vintages of our wines. Within 1 calendar year, we had earned 20 medals in prestigious competitions ranging from provincial, national and international competitions—proof that passion, patience, and friendship can create something extraordinary.Vasanti means “new beginnings” in Punjabi. For us, it’s more than a name—it’s our family story and the rhythm of our lives as winegrowers and vintners.
